Gardens are the same.  GreenWitch can wave her magic wand over your garden and make it look absolutely gorgeous, but with no weeding, pruning or replacing the odd plant which succumbs to the drought or the frost, or bedding plants at the end of their season, then the garden will soon look messy and unloved.
